Step 1: Work with your accredited lender to receive a Mortgage Pre-Qualification Letter demonstrating your ability to secure the financing required to purchase a Philadelphia Workforce Homeownership residence. You are entitled to obtain pre-qualification from the bank of your choosing. If you require assistance, Philadelphia Workforce Homeownership can also connect you with one of our preferred lenders.
If you are interested in utilizing Turn The Key for your home purchase, please follow this link to find out if you are eligible and complete an application.
Step 2: Download the Employment Verification Form. Each income-earning household member must have the form completed and signed by their employer.
Step 3: Gather photo IDs and the last two years’ federal tax forms (typically Form 1040 or 1040-ES) for each household income earner.
Step 4: Create your online Philadelphia Workforce Homeownership account by submitting your contact information and creating a login and password below.
Step 5: Follow the next steps and upload the documents as instructed in the Apply portal.
Applications will be reviewed in the order they’re received once they’re completed.
Once the City of Philadelphia reviews your application and confirms that you meet all eligibility requirements, Philadelphia Workforce Homeownership will move forward with an Agreement of Sale. A closing coordinator will be assigned to guide you through the rest of the process, ending with keys to your brand-new home!
If you’re unable to submit documents online, hard copies of the application will also be accepted. Please download and complete the required forms (Free Library of Philadelphia locations offer public computer access, and many offer low-cost on-site printing services).
